2009
Recruitment Partner of the Year: The award recognizes an organization that:
Since 2003, the Northeast District has hired 23 UW-Green Bay interns, including three for the spring of 2009. All positions are unpaid and many students do receive academic credit. With the help of the interns, Northeast District Director
Laura Libert is able to hold six Jingle Bell Run/Walks annually
each December and numerous spring walks in May across the state.
Employees and interns also help promote education and outreach
programs about arthritis through various other special events. UW-Green Bay has partnered with the Northeast District for 12
years to host the Jingle Bell Run/Walk on campus. The event
brings 1,200 community members to campus and offers
opportunities for volunteer service for student groups and the
Phoenix Division I Cross Country teams. “Laura has served as an exceptional resource about
non-profits, special events, and fundraising and has been an
excellent resource for networking for our students,” said
UW-Green Bay Director of Career Services Linda Peacock-Landrum. UW-Green Bay presented Libert and the Arthritis Foundation —
Wisconsin Chapter, Northeast District with a Recruitment Partner
of the Year award on Wednesday, Jan. 14. Past Recipients:
