2012 Recruitment Partner of the Year

The Recruitment Partner of the Year award is presented
annually by Career Services at UW-Green Bay.
Each year an organization or a community member is
chosen for the recognition based on exceptional commitment to
Career Services’ mission which includes creating learning
opportunities for UW-Green Bay students in their field of
study, supporting professional growth and career development
of students/alumni and actively involved in recruiting
students and alumni for such opportunities.
The award was established in 2006 and was first awarded
in 2007.
Past recipients have included Integrys (formerly Wisconsin
Public Service), Schenck, Arthritis Foundation of NE Wisconsin,
Glen Tilot with Brown County Human Services and Schreiber Foods.
The recipient for 2012 is Humana.
Recruiting at UW-Green Bay since 2004, Humana has listed over
100 jobs, participated in job fairs and conducted campus
interviews over the past 9 years.
However in August 2011, the Humana leadership in Green
Bay wanted to strengthen the relationship and build on the
existing foundation.
Several leaders from both organizations met.
What grew out of this meeting was consistent and regular
communication leading to frequent, increased meetings and
expanded involvement.
Humana associates became involved in class presentations,
provided program support in terms of mock interview day,
etiquette lunch and panel participation, and served as a sponsor
of services & programs with Career Services and Business Week
with the Cofrin School of Business for 2012 and 2013.
Most recently Humana is working to create two
scholarships for students at UW-Green Bay.
In the past 18 months, over 15 alumni have been hired and
to date over 80 alumni are currently Humana associates corporate
wide.
