Services and Fees for Employers

Job and Internship Postings

Job and internship openings are posted on-line in Handshake at no cost to employers. Employers are encouraged to post their opportunities directly in Handshake.  Unless otherwise stated, all positions are posted for 30 days. We also keep a listing of past internships for students to research and explore each semester. When appropriate, copies of announcements will be forwarded to academic departments for additional advertising.

Handshake

Handshake is a comprehensive system that allows students and employers to interact on-line for employment connections. Employers can reach candidates directly by posting positions and by reviewing candidate resumes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Candidates can effectively find positions and can apply directly on-line by submitting documents and applications electronically. Learn more about Handshake and how to request access.

Resume Referrals

Any time your organization is in need of qualified applicants for an open position, Career Services will conduct a resume search and forward resumes directly to you via e-mail. You will receive less than 48 hours service response with same quality service, but improved resume quality.

On-Campus Interviews

On-campus recruiting provides you the opportunity to interview potential candidates at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay campus. These interviews are scheduled and managed through Handshake, which allows you to view your interview schedule, review resumes submitted to you by candidates, and search through the resume database for other potential candidates. Learn more about On-Campus Interviews.

Information Tables and Information Sessions

These options are a direct and immediate way to inform students about your organization, current career opportunities, and application procedures as well as a way to informally meet prospective candidates. Career Services coordinates arrangements and publicity for these sessions at no cost. If you would like to provide refreshments for your session, we will provide you with contact information for University Catering. Contact our office directly at (920) 465.2163 to set up an information table/session.(Limited to twice each academic semester.)

Internships

Hiring an intern from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay is a "win-win" experience for both the employer and the student. It is an opportunity for you to gain assistance with special projects and day-to-day operations while the student gains real world experience. The staff in Career Services serve as liaisons to direct you to faculty contacts for coordinating internships as well as post your internship positions through Handshake, our on-line recruitment system. Job and Internship Fairs: $150 each fair

These fairs, held in the Fall (late September/early October) and Spring (late February/early March) allow for interaction with students and recent alumni to network with potential candidates at a variety of academic levels. The focus of these events is the recruitment of full-time/professional positions and career-related internships. The registration fee covers the cost of a display area (including a table and 2 chairs), and all related event advertising. Due to space limitations, we are not able to offer registration to employers who are seeking part-time/seasonal employees or entrepreneurial (home-based business) opportunities.
