Instructional Unit Abbreviations and Course Numbers

The instructional unit abbreviation listed with each group of course descriptions is used for identification and record keeping. For example, Political Science 100, Global Politics and Society, is listed as POL SCI 100. The capital letters are the instructional unit abbreviation; the three-digits refer to the course number. The instructional unit abbreviation and three-digit course number are needed for registration and other forms. Courses descriptions are listed alphabetically by instructional unit abbreviation in the Schedule of Classes and in this catalog.
