CATL Reading Groups and partner book talks are open to all. Join us to discuss a few short readings a few times each semester. Our discussions will center on themes central to teaching and learning. Each semesters’ topics follow a “common thread,” but prior involvement is never required.

Game Nights

The campus's most informal place to learn and grow developing a community of practice between designers, instructors, and staff, CATL game nights are designed to bring us together, play table-top games, and chat. Games and themes are loosely tied to spur conversation, but one never truly knows where the fun will take us.

Instructional Development Institute

CATL's IDI hosts a series of workshops exploring pedagogical issues, faculty development opportunities, specific challenges in instruction, high-impact practices, and more showcasing the thoughtful minds of our community at work as they grapple with the interesting problems percolating in higher education. The all-day institute is held in January.
