About the Training

The use of mapping & Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is becoming more powerful & accessible; learn how to leverage its capabilities for your organization's benefit.     Join GIS expert, Rachel Russell, Ph.D., Asstant Professor for this hands-on workshop for public & nonprofit managers.   

This workshop will help you:
Navigate the fundamentals of ESRI's ArcGIS software suite
Master basic concepts and skills need to use GIS effectively
Expand your skill set and discover how GIS can help solve problems and answer questions relevant to your field
Use GIS tools to communicate your program's work & results 

This introductory course assumes no-to-minimal experience with GIS software and is appropriate for all fields.  You will leave with a basic proficiency with ArcGIS 10.1. 
 

Bonus! Every attendee will receive a one-year ESRI ArcGIS 10.1 Education Edition Software subscription
and a copy of The GIS 20: Essential Skills workbook to take home.
