Powerpoint slide: Northeastern Wisconsin: A Rising economic star for wisconsin.
I said, earlier, we owned the 1900s. We intend to own the next century as well. THIS IS NO RUST BELT.

Consider these features:
• Entrepreneurial strength recognized nationally
• Booming business parks
• Booming business sectors

There is a common denominator. And, it holds not just in the industrial parks full of smaller high-tech manufacturing enterprises but also in the traditional “big industries” be they paper, cheese, trucking, meat packing, or even the Packers.

The major value added is not occurring on the factory floor – or behind the wheel of a truck, or even on the playing field Sunday; it’s happening in the offices where innovative people, our graduates prominent among them, are figuring out better ways to build, market, finance, and, above all else, relentlessly innovate, even developing whole new knowledge-based industries like logistics.
