INTRODUCTION
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay built on its strong
foundation and made significant gains across a wide range of areas in
2004-05. In the face of continuing fiscal challenges, members of the UW-Green
Bay campus community – students, faculty and staff – worked
with each other and with partners from beyond the campus borders to live
up to the University’s call to action: “Connecting learning
to life.”
This annual report to the UW System includes a detailed
summary of the most significant achievements of Green Bay’s University
of Wisconsin. Many of these successes can be attributed to extraordinary
efforts of individuals and programs as well as collaboration with community
partners.
The report also addresses challenges and priorities
for the coming years. Despite fiscal uncertainty, UW-Green Bay is positioned
to play a leadership role in a region undergoing unprecedented economic
and social change. The University will continue to move forward on an
agenda for growth and service to one of the state’s most vital regions. |
