In April of 1998, the first
meeting of the Chancellor's Council of Trustees was
held. The Council of Trustees exists to advance the
mission and service of the University by providing counsel and advice to the chancellor, and by leading philanthropic support initiatives that help to create a margin of excellence for the student learning experience at the University.
