Recycling Information

Printer Cartridge Recycling

In spirit of going green on the UWGB campus, the Classified Staff Advisory Council will be collecting ink cartridges and toner packs for eco friendly disposal.  All cartridges and manufacturers accepted! – HP, Canon, Panasonic, Sharp, Lexmark/IBM, Dell, Samsung, and Xerox.  Feel free to bring used cartridges from home too!

Battery Recycling

    Please Recycle

  • All alkaline batteries are to be discarded into the general trash.
  • Recycled batteries should be brought to the Operations office:
    • Button batteries: look like coins and are used in an array of devices.
    • Rechargeable batteries: any and all rechargeable batteries: cell/cordless phones, power tools, etc.
  • The followings steps are REQUIRED before the batteries are dropped off:
    • Button batteries: Place a piece of tape on each side of the battery to prevent contact with other batteries.
    • Rechargeable batteries: Place a piece of tape over each contact point to prevent contact with other batteries.

Aerosol Can Recycling

All aerosol cans accepted! – These will be punctured by the Hazardous Waste Staff. Contents will be disposed of properly and the empty cans will be recycled at the Brown County Materials Waste Facility (MRF).
