Fall 2007NewsCommunication and the Arts Program Name ChangeAfter a year long process of evaluating curricular and program changes that have occurred within Communication and the Arts over the past decade, the faculty voted to change the name of the academic and budgetary unit to the Arts and Visual Design. The new name better represents the programs and faculty within the unit, and will make it easier for students to distinguish between programs offered in Communication and the Arts and the Communications program in Information and Computing Science. The name change will become official over the next academic year as catalog and timetable listings and databases are modified.
