Bachelor's Degree Pathway Options

These pathways, made for Marinette, prepare students for in-demand careers right here in our region. Many students work while earning their degrees, gaining valuable experience to advance their careers further and faster. Degree pathways allow students to earn credits that transfer between the two campuses. Connect with an advisor to assist with the application process.

Please note: The bachelor’s degree program links below lead you to the entire program plan that would be needed as a new student. As a coalition program transfer student, your path to degree will be different. Please meet with an advisor to discuss your expressed degree pathway.

UW-Green Bay Nursing Program

Nursing

This pathway starts with general studies at UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus. Years two and three, students earn an ADN from NWTC Marinette. Then year four is back at the UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus to complete your nursing bachelor’s degree. This program requires application to the UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus and an additional program application once accepted.

Begin with the Human Services associate degree; then transfer into the Psychology bachelor’s degree program.

With this fully online pathway, start with the Health Information Technology associate degree; then complete the Health Information Management and Technology bachelor’s degree.

All the degree pathway programs offer flexible scheduling around your life and work commitments. Many classes are available online. Plus, you can choose to pursue the degrees either full- or part-time.

You can save thousands of dollars in tuition by following one of the above pathways toward a bachelor’s degree.

All in-person classes can be completed at NWTC Marinette and UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus.

Why earn one degree when you can earn two? Many of Marinette’s direct degree pathways enable you to complete an associate degree on your way to a bachelor’s.

With an associate degree under your belt, you may have increased employability and earning potential as you continue your studies. Tip: Your employer may pay for you to continue your education!

General Arts & Science Programs in Marinette

NWTC Associate of Arts Degree Transfer Students

Associate of Arts (AA) Transfer degree

Offered at NWTC Marinette, this degree focuses on social science and humanities. You can transfer as a junior to a four-year college or university, including UW-Green Bay.

AA Transfer Degree

NWTC Associate of Science Degree Transfer students

Associate of Science (AS) Transfer degree

Offered at NWTC Marinette, this degree focuses on math and science. You can transfer as a junior to a four-year college or university, including UW-Green Bay.

AS Transfer Degree

Offered at UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus. This degree encompasses arts and sciences and typically fulfills the first two years of general education requirements for a regionally accredited bachelor’s degree program.

The Marinette campuses of NWTC and UW-Green Bay are working together through the Marinette Area Higher Education Coalition to help local students reach their goals.

Through the partnership, you can:

  • Earn a general associate degree with even more in-person classes.
  • Take classes at both local campuses to earn the AA, AS, or AAS degree.
  • Find in-person or online classes that meet your needs with help from our academic advisors.
  • Transfer credits easily and seamlessly.
  • Get help with financial aid every step of the way (including getting help with required paperwork!).

For example:

  • A student at NWTC Marinette pursuing an Associate of Arts, can take 3-Dimensional Design in person at UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus to fulfill fine arts requirements.
  • A student at UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus pursuing an Associate of Arts and Sciences, with an emphasis in psychology, can take Developmental Psychology in person at NWTC Marinette to fulfill a requirement.
