The Graduates "To Do List"
- Review the Registrar's web site for graduation requirements.
- Apply for Graduation through the Student Information System (SIS) . It is recommended that you do this early, usually before the beginning of the semester in which you plan to receive a degree.
- Sign up for the commencement ceremony through SIS. Watch for deadlines in mailings you will receive after applying for graduation.
- Review the ceremony details for the ceremony that you signed up for. If you have a May or August graduation date you will be in the May ceremony. December graduates will be in the December ceremony. These ceremonies are quite different, so be sure you are looking at the appropriate information.
- Purchase your cap and gown.
- Pick up honors cords if you are graduating with honors.
- Pick up tickets to the ceremony for your guests. (How are commencement tickets distributed? See Ticket Math Fall or Ticket Math Spring.)
- Let people know you are graduating with announcements and invitations.
- Review Guest Information, which includes making overnight accommodations, requests for special needs and information on photography and video.
- Check the list of Senior Celebration...Passport to your Future for fun things to do.
- Plan to attend the Baccalaureate Service.
- Plan to stay connected by being a member of the UW-Green Bay Alumni Association.
