By default, Internet Explorer 7 displays only the most essential Web browsing tools, but you can easily add, remove, and arrange buttons and toolbars, as well as the Links and Menu bars. This document shows you how to customize the Internet Explorer environment.
Since Internet Explorer 7 displays only a few buttons on the Command toolbar by default, there may be some features you use frequently that do not have a button. This section shows you how to use the Customize Toolbar dialog box to add, remove, and arrange buttons on the Command toolbar.
From the Command toolbar, click TOOLS
» select Toolbars » Customize...
The Customize Toolbar dialog box appears.

Click ADD ->
The selected button is added to the Current toolbar buttons scroll box.
Click <- REMOVE
The selected button is removed from the Current toolbar buttons scroll box.
Click MOVE UP
OR
Click MOVE DOWN
Internet Explorer lets you display toolbars for Favorites, History, or Feeds; in addition, you can display Adobe PDF, Research, or Discuss explorer toolbars in a separate pane. Toolbars displayed in this fashion are pinned to the left side of the Internet Explorer frame.
To display a toolbar, click TOOLS
» select Toolbars » select the desired toolbar
The selected toolbar appears on the left side of the Internet Explorer window.
NOTES:
Only one toolbar can be viewed at a time.
Once a particular toolbar is displayed (e.g., Favorites), you can switch to a different toolbar (e.g., History or Feeds) by clicking the appropriate button at the top of the toolbar.
To display an Explorer Bar, click TOOLS
» select Toolbars » Explorer Bar » select the desired Explorer Bar
The selected Explorer Bar appears on the left side of the Internet Explorer window.
NOTE: If you are already displaying a toolbar, the selected explorer bar will display next to the toolbar.
For one-click access to the sites you visit most often, you may want to display the Links toolbar.
You also can display the traditional Menu bar (i.e., File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, and Help).
To display the Links toolbar, click TOOLS
» select Toolbars » Links
OR
Right click any unused part of the Command bar » select Links
The Links toolbar appears under the address bar.
