In an effort to “go green”, duplex printing has been implemented for the black and white printers in our Instructional Services and Cofrin Library General Access Labs. Duplex printing will not be a default setting; it must be selected each time and the charge will be the same as printing two pages because of the toner used. Save paper – print duplex!
To select duplexing options within your application select the GACBW printer and then click on Properties.

Select the Paper/Output tab. Decide what options you want to set. Choose 2-sided Printing. For Portrait printing select Long Edge and Landscape printing Short Edge. If your printer properties offers the Finishing tab, select 'Flip Pages Up' if you document will be bound along the top.

Unfortunately, there are no cost savings to selecting the duplexing options. Two single pages will cost the same as printing one, two-sided page. Also, most applications, for example Microsoft Office, will allow for duplex printing, but others will not.
