Configuring Apple Mail for Off Campus Use


To configure Apple Mail for off campus use:

1. Launch Apple Mail

2. If you have never configured an account, the new mail wizard will start, otherwise go to Mail -> Preferences -> Accounts and click the + under Accounts to add a new account

3. Select IMAP for Account Type, enter your full name for Full Name and full email address for Email Address

4. For Incoming Mail Server enter webmail.uwgb.edu, for Username enter your full email address and enter your password for Password

5. For Outgoing Mail Server enter webmail.uwgb.edu, check the Use Authentication box and enter your full email address for Username and password for Password.

6. At the Summary screen, verify your email address is correct and both mail servers are webmail.uwgb.edu and SSL is on and click Continue.

7. Click done at the last screen

8. You will see your newly created account in the accounts screen. You may close this window and start using Mail.
