Adobe Illustrator - FIX for program quitting on OPEN (TIGER)

Symptoms

When a user attempts to create a new or open an existing Adobe Illustrator file the program terminates.

Cause

Adobe Illustrator is pointing to the wrong Hard Drive for it's Scratch Disk. (this is different from the ScratchDisk folder students are asked to use on the local machine.)

Resolution

Every user must complete the following steps in order to change their individual preference files:

1. Open Adobe Illustrator
   
2. Select Illustrator, Preferences, "Plug-ins & Scratch Disks"
   
   
   
3. Set the Primary Scratch Disk to Mac HD.
   
   
   
4. Close Adobe Illustrator, Relaunch the application
