Print as PDF - InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and most Adobe Applications.

Always, Always, ALWAYS export and save as PDF prior to PRINTING an InDesign document.

1. To print an InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop document (*.indd or *.ps or *.ai) to PDF:

   1. Select, File, Export....
      
      
      
      
   2. Give the document a new name if you want. Select Adobe PDF from the Format: drop-down and select Save.
      
      
      
      
   3. Your instructor will want you to step through each of these categories and make whatever unique changes are necessary for the particular project you're working on. (For example: showing certain marks such as crop and bleed). After making all the changes, select Export.
      
      
      
      
   4. This will 'generate' a PDF.
      
   
   
2. Go to a Finder window - select this PDF and print. (If the document opens in PREVIEW and you would like all PDF's to open in Adobe Reader, make this change.
