The Cofrin Arboretum Center for Biodiversity (CACB) was established at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in May 1999. Its mission is to promote education, research, and community services which contribute to conservation of the fauna and flora of the Northern Lake States. The CACB aims to facilitate non-confrontational conservation activities, especially through the collection and dissemination of scientific information.

 
Activities and projects of the CACB include:

The CACB is one of the first attempts to develop a local biodiversity center whose goal is to promote biodiversity protection at the grassroots level. By bringing together local information in the context of broader knowledge, conservation of native plants and animals is most likely to be effective and permanently embedded in local agencies, organizations, and culture.
