Program Descriptions:

Basics of Behavioral Interviewing
"Tell me about a time when you..."  Behavior based interview questions are common within the job search process. Join our guest speaker, Stacy Butter from Schneider National as she takes our audience through ways to effectively manage behavior based interviews. View date, time & location.

Creating a Resume 101
Learn how to develop a resume that effectively markets you to employers. During this session, we will also address the basics of writing a cover letter. View date, time & location.

Dine Like a Professional Etiquette Lunch

Graduate and Professional School Fair

Job & Internship Fairs
Held once each semester, the Job & Internship Fair is an excellent opportunity to network with employers and professionals. At the fair, learn about career opportunities within various organizations and career fields. Whether you are a senior networking for employment, a junior seeking an internship, or a freshman/sophomore making career decisions -- all students and majors are welcome! LinkedIn - The Basics to Get Started
What is LinkedIn? How can I use LinkedIn to help me with my job search? How do I create a professional profile? Learn about this social media networking tool and how it can help you begin your professional career. Specifics to be discussed include LinkedIn groups, endorsements, recommendations and how to connect with alumni! View date, time & location.

LinkedIn Photo Booth
Say "Cheese!"  Stop by the LinkedIn photo booth and have a professional headshot taken for your LinkedIn profile. It is recommended that you have a professional quality shirt/blouse for this. View calendar for dates, times and locations.

Majors Fair
The Majors Fair is intended to help students solidify a decision about their major, build bridges between academic majors and possible careers, and help students transition from general advising to department-based faculty advisors.  Faculty representatives from all of the major programs of study will be available in one place to provide students with information and answer questions about the learning opportunities and career possibilities specific to the academic programs.View date, time & location.

Mock Interview Day
Interview skills are critical for today’s job seeker, so candidates need to learn how to effectively convey their strengths and qualifications to a prospective employer.  Mock Interview Day will bring a variety of professionals to UW-Green Bay to help our students enhance their interview skills.  View information about the Spring 2014 Mock Interview Day.

Prep for Success Employer Panel
Do you have questions about the job search, how best to connect with employers or what to expect in a professional position?  A panel of employers will be available to answer questions about interviewing, job fair etiquette, the job search, and more!   Career Services staff members will be available for questions before and after the event. Sophomore Success Day
Feeling stressed about deciding on a major and choosing a career path?  Offered once each semester prior to Registration, the staff in Academic Advising and Career Services team up to help students avoid the “Sophomore Slump."  No appointments are necessary that day. Students can stop in to ask questions anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and an appropriate adviser will assist them.  Date to be determined.

The Basics of Applying to Graduate School
Learn techniques and procedures for researching graduate programs and applying for admission to programs. Understand the differences in required testing and other application requirements. View date, time & location.
