ADA Student Membership

Becoming a Member

The ADA membership year is June 1 – May 31. You can become a member at anytime; however, dues/fees are due June 1 of that year, regardless of when you sign up. Dues for the 2007-2008 year are $49.

If you decide you would like to become a member today, but would prefer to wait to join until June 1, there is an option to HOLD your membership until June. To clarify, let’s say it is April 2007 and you are reading this. You realize what a great opportunity it is to become an ADA student member, but you do not want to pay the dues now for this membership year since you will have to pay them again June 1, 2007 for the next membership year. You are able to register today at ADA’s website and even may the dues for the June 1 membership year by choosing HOLD my membership for the June 2007 – May 2008 membership year.

To become a student member, you must be meet one of the following criteria:

A student enrolled in a CADE accredited/approved dietetics program or supervised practice program who does not meet requirements for Active membership. (UWGB is a CADE accredited program)

A student enrolled in a regionally accredited, post-secondary education program which is not CADE accredited. This classification is available to students who state their intent to enter a CADE accredited program.

A current Active member returning to school on a full-time basis for a baccalaureate or advanced degree or to complete a CADE accredited supervised practice program (Dietetic internship or coordinated program) – annual verification required.
