DJS faculty Kim Nielsen and Andy Kersten receive Founders Association Awards for Excellence! Kim received the award for scholarship. Andy received the award for community outreach. This is the fourth Founders Association Award for Andy!

New Staff Member Jaida Samudra

Meet Jaida Samudra, our newest faculty member! Jaida is a medical anthropologist who comes to us via University of Hawaii at Manoa (we hope she survives the change in weather!) Jaida is particularly interested in alternative systems of healing, patients articulations of illness and healing, and social and health issues arising from biological determinism. She is also interested in examining social settings that promote democracy, peace, and creativity. Welcome aboard, Jaida!
