Ingrid Bego received her Ph.D.in Political Science from Washington State University in 2011. Her teaching and research interests focus on issues of democratization, global governance and public policy. More particularly her research explores the effect that regime transition and European Union membership have had on transforming gender equality policy in post-communist Europe. She teaches courses in the areas of Global Politics, Comparative Politics, East and West European Politics as well as Gender and Politics. Currently she is working on understanding the effect of Europeanization on civil society in Central and Eastern Europe and the consequences that it has on democratic development. Her dissertation is currently being considered for publication by a reputable academic press.
