Step 1 Apply as a Candidate
  • Admitted to UW Green Bay
  • Pass all sections of PPST exam & Have scores sent directly to UWGB
  • Complete 28 credits
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above
  • Submit an Application
  • Submit an Essay

PRAXIS I EXAM
  • Also called PPST Pre-Professional Skills Test
  • Reading (Test Code 0710)
  • Mathematics (Test Code 0730)
  • Writing (Test Code 0720)

  • You must pass all 3 portions of the PPST (the Reading, Mathematics, and Writing portions of the test)to be considered for Candidacy

Deadline
  • If you want apply as a candidate for the SPRING SEMESTER, you need to have ALL admissions requirements completed by October the semester before.
  • If you want to apply as a candidate for FALL SEMESTER, you need to have ALL admissions requirements completed by February the semester before.

Acceptance to Program
  • Your application is reviewed by the Admissions Committee
  • Very Competitive
  • No Guarantee of Acceptance
  • Must have candidate status to start the program

Background Check & TB Test
  • You will be notified by mail upon acceptance as a candidate


  • Once you are accepted as a candidate, you MUST complete the Background Check and TB Test requirements or you will be dropped from candidate status

Step 1
Accepted as a Candidate
  • If you are accepted as a candidate, you will receive a letter telling you to enroll in Candidacy Block Courses.
  • You can not enroll in any Candidacy Block Courses unless you have been admitted into the education program as a Candidate

Step 2
Full Admission
  • Once you are a candidate in the program, you must earn a “BC” or better in your Candidacy Block Courses
  • Must complete application for Full Admission
  • Must have earned 40 credits
  • Receive recommendations from Candidacy Block Team
  • Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0
