Course Description:

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction defines an effective teacher as one who “uses educational practices that foster the intellectual, social and emotional growth of children, resulting in measurable growth that can be documented in meaningful ways.”

Today, education demands that teachers are current with research-based teaching and learning strategies; able to use culturally responsive and differentiated teaching practices to reach all students; able to utilize data to inform instruction; and able to communicate their effectiveness in these areas to all stakeholders. In the last several years, teacher hiring and retention practices have changed. Learn how to articulate and demonstrate what you know and the educational practices that you employ which foster the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of students in your classroom!

One book is required for all participants in this class. UWGB will contact you with more information about the book following the course registration deadline.

~Offered in partnership with the Green Bay Education Association
