Course Description:

Join us to examine the issues of childhood poverty, homelessness, and the effects on the brain and learning. Explore strategies for teaching students to be in charge of their education and develop a plan for addressing issues of poverty in your educational setting.

One book is required for all participants in this class. UWGB will contact you with more information about the book following the course registration deadline.

  • Prerequisite: Graduate Standing (Must have earned a bachelor’s degree)

  • Schedule: Monday thru Wednesday, June 24-26; and Monday, July 8, 2013 (1:00-4:00 p.m.); plus three hours arranged by you for course application in your school or community.
    (The official course start and end dates for fee and grade reporting purposes are June 24 to July 23, 2013.)
