0092D - Continuous School Improvement for Student Achievement: Administrators

This course is open to GBAPS administrators who participate in the June 13-14 GBAPS Improvement Retreat

Course Description:

The school improvement retreat will provide an opportunity for building teams to view their data and develop action plans for the next school year. The process will include pre-work by the building leadership in data analysis, interpretation and School Learning Objective development. This will allow teams to analyze their school’s students, professional practice, programs and structures, and family and community data patterns. Teams will evaluate school improvement plans from previous years and use these as a guide to develop one and three year plans.

  • Prerequisite: Graduate Standing (Must have earned a bachelor’s degree); must fully participate in the June 13-14 GBAPS Improvement Retreat and be approved by Stephen Miller, GBAPS Data and Assessment Coordinator –

  • Schedule: Participants will attend a two-day, fifteen-hour School Improvement Retreat on Thursday and Friday, June 13 & 14, 2013, in addition to a minimum of 30 hours of pre-work in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data, and School Learning Objective development.
    (The official course start and end dates for fee and grade reporting purposes are June 13 to July 2, 2013.)
