Course Description:

This credit course option is designed for educators participating in the Eastern Wisconsin Instructional Technology Consortium’s SITA 2016 Academy! This course will expand upon your knowledge base in the area of technology integration as established by the Wisconsin Information and Technology Literacy Standards. You will learn new technology skills during the SITA 2016 Academy and have the opportunity during this course to reflect on how you will integrate this new learning into your curriculum and/or school plan! Research in the area of current technology integration practices will also be explored.

One Graduate Credit ($213)
  • Course Number: EDUC 695-6, section 7402 (#0368D)

  • Prerequisite: Graduate Standing (Must have earned a bachelor’s degree); participants must register for a minimum of 9 hours of SITA 2016 technology workshop sessions at http://www.ewitc.org/sita-2016/. If you are not employed with a school/district that is a member of the EWITC consortium, you will be responsible for the SITA Academy fee. Please go to http://www.ewitc.org/sita-2016/ to view the list of EWITC consortium member schools/districts.

  • Schedule: All credit participants are required to attend the class session with the course instructor on Tuesday, August 2 (3:30-4:30 PM) which will be held at CESA 7 (595 Baeten Road, Green Bay - 2 miles from St. Norbert College) following the last technology session of the day. Credit participants must also attend a minimum of 9 hours of SITA technology workshop sessions during the SITA Academy held August 2-4 at St. Norbert College, and engage in an additional 5 hours of course participation via independent or distance learning. All course requirements must be completed and turned in to your instructor no later than September 9, 2016. Final course grades will be issued at the end of September.
    (The official course start and end dates for fee and grade reporting purposes are August 2 to September 13, 2016.)

  • Course Number: EDUC 495-6, section 7402 (#0368DU)

  • Prerequisite: Must have graduated from a recognized high school; participants must register for a minimum of 9 hours of SITA 2016 technology workshop sessions at http://www.ewitc.org/sita-2016/. If you are not employed with a school/district that is a member of the EWITC consortium, you will be responsible for the SITA Academy fee.
