0431D - Children and Poverty: Classroom Strategies

This course is open to all educators! There is no prerequisite for this course. It is appropriate for those who have already taken the course, “Children and Poverty” or “Children and Poverty: School and Community Perspectives.”

Course Description:

Examine childhood poverty and the impact on student engagement and learning. The focus of this course will be on research-based strategies for increasing motivation, effort, and student achievement. Learn strategies for engaging students and develop a plan for addressing poverty in your educational setting!

One book is required for all participants in this class. UWGB will contact you with more information about the book following the course registration deadline.
