0920C - The Design and Implementation of 21st Century Practices in the Classroom

This course is open to educators employed with the Plymouth School District who have already taken the course, "Transforming Curricular Pedagogy with 21st Century Practices."

Course Description:

This hands-on course is designed to assist all teachers in understanding best practices in 21st Century Skills and in utilizing technology to increase student comprehension in the classroom. We will begin with a review of current research and rationale of appropriate 21st century pedagogy. Teachers will learn how to support their classroom learning targets using resources that support 21st century skills in the classroom. A wide variety of interactive learning experiences will be provided to help build a web-based digital resource file. Teachers will also promote their own professional growth and scholarship by custom designing a personal learning network that is designed for their needs as a professional educator!

  • Prerequisite: Graduate Standing (Must have earned a bach lor’s degree); and must be approved by the Plymouth School District in order to enroll in this course - cjdassow@plymouth.k12.wi.us

  • Schedule: Thursday, January 26; Tuesdays, January 31, February 7; Thursdays, February 9, February 16, February 23; Tuesdays, February 28, March 6, March 13; and Thursday, April 12, 2012 (4:00-8:00 p.m.); as well as five required hours of social networking.
