Conserve On Campus
In
November 2005, Governor Doyle issued Executive Order 132 directing state
agencies to take immediate steps to reduce energy consumption at state
facilities.
Campus reminded to save energy
The Office of Facilities Planning and Management reminds campus users
of these energy-saving measures:
-
Shut off your equipment at the end of the day, i.e. copiers, printers,
personal computers, and personal task lighting.
-
Eliminate the use of incandescent and halogen table/floor lamps.
Compact fluorescent lamps are available in many sizes to fit most table
lamps.
Special note: All touchier lamps are a severe fire hazard and should not
be used on campus.
-
Turn off excess lighting when not in use.
-
Campus room temperatures will be set to 68 degrees in the winter
and 76 degrees in the summer. Requests for any temperature adjustments
will be determined on an individual basis.
Through this Web site, we hope to encourage you to conserve on campus
