Env Sci 492 Practicum in Environmental Science:

Field Experience in Soil Inventory and Description

 One Credit, Fall 2002

 Prereq:  Env Sci 320 or concurrent enrollment.

Field Trip to State Soil Judging Contest at UW-Stevens Point 27-28 September.  This is an opportunity to observe, practice and/or compete with teams from UW-Mad, UWRF, UWP and UWSP.  You will observe and describe various soil-landscape settings and interact with other students in natural resources and earth sciences.

Requirements: Participate in about 3 hands-on soil description meetings and the field trip to UW Stevens Point.  Submit a summary of soils observed throughout the course.
