| Frequently Asked Disbursement Questions |
|
When may I pick up my financial aid?
Financial aid is disbursed at the beginning of each semester. Aid will be awarded and disbursed throughout the
semester, as applications are completed.
Remember, tuition, fees, housing and meal plan charges will be taken from your financial aid and applied to your
student account first. Any financial aid remaining will be disbursed to the student by the Bursar's
Office.
How do I pay for my books?
Books can be purchased with cash, check, credit card or your pass point account.
Is there a payment plan?
YES! Information on the Partial Payment Plan can be obtained from Student Billing located at the Bursar's
Office.
What else do I need to know?
- All financial aid goes to the Bursar’s Office located in the Student Services Building (SS 1700). You
are expected to pay your tuition and other university expenses by the end of the first week of classes, unless
you are participating in the partial payment plan.
- You will not receive notice when your financial aid arrives. It is your responsibility to check the Student
Information System to ensure that your bills are paid. To navigate to your student account go to Student
Info System - Learner Services - Finances - you can either select Total Due Charges or Account Summary.
Lenders will notify you when they have sent your student loan to the Bursar.
- You will need your student ID to pick up your financial aid change check at the Bursar.
- If you’re financial aid award is complete by August 15, your first semester aid should be available on the
first day of classes. If your financial aid award is complete after August 15 your aid may not be at the bursar
in time to pay your fees.
- If you applied on time, and there were no delays with your application, your account should be credited and
any excess aid provided to you as a change check.
- If you applied late for financial aid, you need to make arrangements to pay your charges because your financial
aid will not be available. The Billing Office is adjacent to the bursar and the phone number is 920-465-2225. All
necessary forms must be complete and in the Financial Aid Office no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of the
term or your application is considered late.
- If you are a one semester student (either a December graduate or an entering spring semester student) and your
loan disbursement is split you must discuss your situation with the Billing Office prior to the due date to avoid a
late payment penalty.

Have a problem that needs to be resolved?
- The staff in the Financial Aid Office can be contacted about the status of your financial aid application or
award. You can also use the Student Information System on the UW-Green Bay home page for status check information.
- Questions about tuition and other charges as well as questions about whether your aid is in should be directed to
the Student Billing Office, SS 1700 (920)-465-2224.
- If your family’s financial status changes after filing the FAFSA, it is your responsibility to notify the FAO of
these changes. Be specific as to why the changes occurred and also estimate the dollar amounts of these changes.
See the Forms section to complete the required documents.
