Rebecca Meacham
Associate Professor, Humanistic Studies
Rebecca Meacham approaches her classes with passion and enthusiasm for high standards and quality of work. Her courses embody interdisciplinarity and take on relevant and challenging topics in order to help students relate and make connections to contemporary literature and culture. She has taught a wide array of courses showing a remarkable thematic range and has consistently received outstanding evaluations.
Meacham teaches creative writing, literature and women's and gender studies courses. She also advises the Sheepshead Review student literary magazine and works closely with students as mentor and writing coach. Meacham is an award-winning author, having received the nationally prestigious Katherine Anne Porter Prize in Short Fiction for her collection of character-driven short stories, Let's Do.
