David Dolan
Professor, Natural and Applied Sciences
Natural and Applied Sciences Professor Dave Dolan has set a standard for integrating research into teaching and has provided exceptional training for numerous graduate students. He is also known for his tireless work ethic, infectious enthusiasm, and dedication to applying science to solve current environmental problems. Dolan has earned hundreds of thousands of dollars in research grants from the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
Dolan is extremely active in working with international, federal, state, and local agencies, providing advice, analysis and insight on environmental issues. He is highly respected in his field and his research publications are cited widely; moreover, they have been used by management agencies to set targets for restoring water quality in the Great Lakes.
