Georjeanna Wilson-Doenges 2015 Recipient of the Faculty Award for Excellence in TeachingAssociate Professor Human Development

Georjeanna Wilson-Doenges, a specialist in environmental psychology, neighborhood planning and urban design, has an uncanny knack for connecting with students, regardless of major, in courses both online and in person.
Her positive, high-energy approach inspires students to achieve their best not only in coursework but through internships, independent studies, and honors projects. She has placed interns with neighborhood programs, local schools, the Green Bay Police Department and the Salvation Army.

Colleagues describe her as a teacher so gifted she has the ability to make even the statistical concept of standard deviation “riveting.” Wilson-Doenges joined the
UW-Green Bay faculty in 1995 after earning her Ph.D. from the University of California-Irvine.
