UW-Green Bay

Challenging, Engaging Classes

In GPS you’ll enroll in a First Year Seminar and other courses exclusively available to GPS students that will challenge your mind and encourage you to explore your world. In the fall, GPS students will take a first year seminar course of their choosing, an additional challenging general education course, as well as some study skills based credits. In the spring, GPS students will complete a 1-credit service learning project. All of these credits will qualify toward general education classes that help you graduate from UW-Green Bay.

You will also get priority registration into your GPS classes for the fall semester. That means we can help you register for a few of your fall classes before all other freshmen!

From the Students...

Participating in the GPS program influenced me as a student to get out there and do anything that I can to benefit myself academically. Because of the GPS program I participated in class as much as I could because I felt that someone cared about my responses.
