Unique Learning Opportunity
University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Academy for Civic and Public Affairs is the only program offered in the state of Wisconsin.  This unique four day academy examines cutting –edge topics in-depth giving attendees the opportunity to study high priority issues in economic development, managing personnel and human capital, finance and innovation that are critical in local government.  You can come for a day or the entire Academy.

Hands-On Learning
The goal of our classes is to give you the tools to immediately apply your learning to your job.  You will engage in exchanges of information, share job-related experiences, examine real-life case studies and work in group think clusters.  Our courses are designed to combine lecture, discussion and hands-on learning giving you an exciting opportunity to implement “new” ideas.

Library of Learning Materials
Each course provides take home materials that serve as a reference for you back in your office.  These reference materials may become one of your most important collections of knowledge.

Networking Opportunity
The Academy creates a multitude of formal and informal opportunities for networking and the exchanging of ideas which so often is impossible in your busy jobs.

ICMA (International City/County Management Association)

The International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) has approved and recognizes the Academy for Civic and Public Affairs for credit toward the Master Municipal Clerks (MMC).
