Schedule of Events - TENTATIVE FOR 2017

To help you plan your week, we have the following events scheduled.

Daily Classes

Monday-Thursday courses begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m.
Friday courses begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 11:00 a.m.

 

Sunday

First Year Clerks and Treasurers:

6:00-6:30 p.m. First Year Check-In
6:30-7:15 p.m. First Year Welcome Reception

The First Year Welcoming Reception is a fun event that gives new people coming to the Institute a chance to meet their mentor and new classmates.
Look for your mentor’s name on the tables. (Dinner will NOT be provided this year.)

7:30-8:00 p.m. First Year Orientation

All Other Attendees:

Monday

8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Courses

5:15-5:45 p.m. Information Session: How to Become a Certified Clerk or Treasurer

Open to all interested persons who would like information on applying these courses toward Certifications.

Tuesday

8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Courses

5:00-6:00 p.m. Radisson Manager's Reception

This get-together is another opportunity to make new friends and renew old friendships. The hotel bar is available to purchase refreshments and hors d'oeuvres.

Wednesday

8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Courses

5:30-8:00 p.m. All Conference Event - ON BROADWAY Farmers Market

The Wednesday ON BROADWAY Farmers Market is one of Wisconsin’s top two largest farmers market. With over 170 vendors coming from a radius of 60 to 90 miles away, it is the place to be on Wednesday evenings.  This amazing extravaganza in the historic downtown Broadway District features live entertainment, fruits, vegetables, arts, crafts, fresh and hot food, boutique shopping, desserts and drinks. It is a lively fun place to spend a pleasant evening. 

Bus transportation will be provided to the Farmers Market. Buses will leave the Radisson after Wednesday’s classes and the return from the market will be staggered to provide you flexibility.  The Market closes at 8:00 pm. More information on the bus schedule will be available as we draw nearer to the event.  The bus schedule will be posted on our website at www.uwgb.edu/govt

Thursday

8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Courses

5:00-6:30 p.m. Class Photos

6:45-9:00 p.m. Graduation Banquet and Ceremonies

All are invited! This program is one of our proudest moments at the Institute. Don’t miss this opportunity to honor our graduates. We also recognize and pass out scholarships to the recipients for next year. The Graduation Banquet is included in your Institute tuition fee.
