Schedule of Events

To help you plan your week, we have the following events scheduled.

Daily Classes

Monday-Thursday courses begin 8:00 a.m., end at 5:00 p.m.. See Wednesday for exceptions. Friday class ends at 10:30 a.m..



First Year Registration

(4:00-4:30 p.m.)

First Year Welcoming Reception

(4:30-5:30 p.m.)
The First Year Welcoming Reception is a fun event that gives new people coming to the Institute a chance to meet their mentor and new classmates.

First Year Opening Banquet

(5:30-6:30 p.m.)
This event is for all first year students. Continue to get acquainted with your fellow students.  First year students will sit at an assigned table with their second year mentor.  Look for your mentor’s name on the tables.

For first year students

Information Session on Certificates That Can Be Earned

(7:00-7:30 p.m.)
Open to all interested persons who would like information on earning their certifcations.




(7:00-8:00 a.m.)

Institute Social Mixer

(5:00-6:00 p.m.)
This get-together is another opportunity to make new friends and renew old friendships.  There will be hors d’oeuvres.  The hotel bar is available to purchase beverages.



Tuesday Night Activity
Cosmic Bowling

(5:40 p.m. buses leave; return trip at 9:00 p.m.)
The Tuesday night outing is an optional event planned to give everyone a break. Our evening of Cosmic Bowling will begin with an old fashioned pizza buffet at the bowling alley at 6:00 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., we will begin bowling. You do not have to be a good bowler to participate. Anyone can come and families are welcome! The bowling alley will set up bumpers and ramps for the younger children. This is a very fun event!

Cost: $18/person. This includes: transportation, pizza, salad, free soda, bowling, shoes, and alley ball. Sign up on our registration form on the back page. Please include your family or guest.



Mock Election

(5:30-7:30 p.m.)
All Clerk 1 and Clerks Completion students are required to attend the Mock Election course. This hands-on class will teach you the preparation, election day activities and post election duties. This course is an optional course for Clerks Completion students.

Elections Unplugged

(5:30-7:30 pm)
Open to all students except Clerk 1 and Clerks Completion, this course will cover current issues relating to elections.

Graduation Banquet and Ceremonies

(6:45-9:00 p.m.)
All are invited! This program is one of our proudest moments at the Institute. Don’t miss this opportunity to honor our graduates. We also recognize and pass out scholarships to recipients for 2014. The banquet is included in your Institute tuition fee.
