Amanda Peters (Green Bay)
This master's degree has definitely influenced my teaching. Since I am working with bilingual learners, I also wanted to learn more about how to best service them. Pursuing my master's degree has provided me with those opportunities and more. UW-Green Bay was willing to work with the credits that I already had, and has been very flexible with my schedule. Overall, it has been the perfect program for me to continue my education.

Todd Timm (Southern Door)
I pursued a master's degree to be more well-rounded and for the challenge. I will also see a financial benefit. I'm glad I chose UW-Green Bay because the professors were flexible yet concerned about making the program beneficial to all of us. Professor Kaufman helped me above and beyond what I think would have happened in other programs... Because of my degree, I pay closer attention to all of my students, especially their self concept.

Jackie Joseph (De Pere)
I decided to pursue a master's because I felt it was the next important step in my career. I elected UW-Green Bay's because of proximity and flexibility. The master's program has influenced me in that I realize the impact I can make on students when I take an interest in them outside of the classroom. The program was great.

Deb Rose (Classroom educator)
The beauty of this degree is three-fold: cohort community, inquiry-based action research, and graduate faculty who are experts in their fields.

Deb Rose (Oconto Falls)
This master's program is driven by an individual's passion for deeper learning about oneself in relation to teaching methods and student learning. For me, this meant questioning my current classroom practices and expectations about reading. Why was I doing what I was doing? What results did I hope to see? How could I be sure that the students were really learning? Did that assessments tell the whole story? What will change?...My action research revealed some surprising new truths about reading in 5th grade!

I enrolled because the requirements of the program fit well with the leadership challenges that all organizations face. I believe those who will lead need to be equipped to do so. Finding a program with a heavy emphasis in dealing with the myriad of challenges faced by organizations and employees in the ever-quickening world of change will provide me with the tools to excel.
