Required Materials:


Text: Art Fundamentals; Theory and Practice , 10th Edition, Ocvirk, Stinson, Wigg, Bone, and Cayton, McGraw-Hill, 2006

Sketchbook (at least 11” x 14”, 100 pages, side spiral only)
Fine and medium/large tip felt drawing pen (Micron Pigma, or Staedler Mars are good.
No Sharpies or any other solvent based pens, they bleed too much)

Winsor Newton Designer Gouache:
1 small tube black
1 large tube white
1 small tube spectrum red
1 small tube brilliant green
1 small tube orange light
1 small tube spectrum violet
1 small tube sky blue
1 small tube spectrum yellow

1 HB or #2 graphite pencil
#6 round soft brush or any good soft bristle brush that will hold a point
1/4” flat paint brush or any soft-bristle water color type brush
glue stick
X-acto knife or utility knife with extra blades
paint mixing tray
small jars (baby food jar size) for water

Recommended Materials:
straight edge metal ruler, 18” with cork back
kneaded eraser
rags (for cleaning brushes)

Optional Materials:
additional brushes, various sizes and forms
additional black felt markers, various sizes and tips (see brands listed above)
1 small tube #3 neutral gray

Tradewinds, 536 Green Avenue, Green Bay (phone 432-0270) may or may not have cheaper prices but certainly does have more of a selection.

Directions to Tradewinds): Take University Ave West - turn left onto Baird St – go south about 2 miles – turn left onto Greene – Tradewinds will be on your right – call them for better directions and hours.
