Ed Thompson Hall opened for the 2002-03 academic year. Each student has their own bedroom that comes equipped with a telephone line and high-speed Internet access.
Bedrooms in the four-student suites measure approximately 9’6” x 14’7” and are furnished with movable wardrobes,
dressers, desks, and adjustable-height beds. Each suite also offers a private storage room. Outside apartment
doors can be accessed with the student's University ID card (GB Passport) through a reader on the outside of the
apartment entrances.
Ed Thompson, a longtime Green Bay business and community leader,
was honored in 2002 with this new 120-bed student housing facility is dedicated
in his name.
Thompson has been a long-standing and active member of University Village Housing Inc. (UVHI), a private,
nonprofit corporation that has built and managed all 14 residence halls at UW-Green Bay. He also is a member
of the UW-Green Bay Founders Association.
Thompson is president of Thompson Management Associated, a business consulting firm. He previously held
leadership positions with Procter & Gamble and Schneider National, Inc.
Thompson’s other community and business activities include service on the boards of directors of the Green
Bay Packers, Belmark Inc., Firstar Bank, Lord’s Dental Studio, Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, St.

Ed Thompson Hall was the first of three new 120-bed housing units to open on the UW-Green Bay campus between
2001 and 2004. The units will be “suite-style” apartments with private bedrooms and shared kitchens and
bathrooms, housing four students per suite.
The completion of Ed Thompson Hall brought the total on-campus housing capacity to about 1,670 residents.
Ed Thompson Hall also features the Keith A. Pamperin Living Learning Center, a large multi-purpose room for
studying, activities, and programs. Keith A. Pamperin’s long-standing service and advocacy on behalf of his
alma mater, UW-Green Bay, and for the betterment of the Green Bay community, was honored by the naming of the
Keith A. Pamperin Living Learning Center.
Pamperin has worked diligently to make the Green Bay community a better place for students, families and future
generations. Designed and constructed to promote the tradition of collaboration and community, the Keith A.
Pamperin Living Learning Center will provide students, faculty and community members a place to learn,
collaborate and achieve through classroom experience, recreation, outside activities and study. A small
kitchenette will provide flexibility for programming and will be used for things such as a temporary coffeehouse
for student programs or a continental breakfast area for summer conferences and informal gatherings.
