Robert W. Warren Hall was built in 1987 and helps make up the community of Small, Cletus, and Warren.
About the man: The Honorable Robert W. Warren's roles have been many: Foreign Service officer, lawyer, Brown County
district Attorney, State Senator, State Attorney General and, since 1974, Federal District Judge. Noteworthy among
his many contributions to the people of Wisconsin is the leadership he provided in the State Senate to assure the
creation of an institution of higher learning for Northeastern Wisconsin. In the crucial years of 1964 through 1966,
Senator Warren co-sponsored and gained important committee support for the bill appropriating funds for the project,
was floor leader for the bill to authorize the university, and led the fight in the Joint Finance Committee on behalf
of the Shorewood site. Robert W. Warren's effective leadership did much to turn the dream of many citizens into the
reality of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
