Essential Job Functions:

The Coordinator of College Credit in High School and Education Outreach Programs reports to the Education Outreach Director, and collaborates with high school and campus faculty to coordinate and deliver credit courses within high schools. This position is also responsible for assisting the Education Outreach Director in the coordination and delivery of credit and noncredit programs for K-12 educators.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with high school instructors and administrators to recruit adjunct instructors and expand course offerings.
  • Collaborate with instructional unit leaders to approve, develop, evaluate, and retain adjunct instructors.
  • Work with instructional unit leaders to plan, revise, and approve course syllabi and encourage regular professional interaction between University faculty and high school faculty involved in offering college courses in the high school to ensure course alignments.
  • Generate revenue and manage fiscal accountability, including determining the budget for the CCIHS program and monitoring revenue and expenses.
  • Facilitate placement testing, admissions, and registration for CCIHS students and work closely with Student Services to coordinate processes and resolve issues.
  • Conduct parent sessions, student orientation, advising, and registration sessions at participating high schools, as well as policy and procedure orientations for new CCIHS instructors.
  • Conduct both course and program evaluations to assess the effectiveness of the program.
  • Promote the CCIHS program and maintain the CCIHS website.
  • Monitor and react to federal, state, UW-System, and DPI laws/policies.
  • Coordinate professional development programs for K-12 educators, which includes establishing a course budget, coordinating facility arrangements, and working with the instructor on course logistics such as schedule, syllabus, handouts, and other classroom needs.
  • Conduct on-site visits to area schools throughout Northeastern Wisconsin.
  • Collaborate with University faculty, school district personnel, CESA's, educational agencies, and other continuing education providers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Education or related field at time of application
  • 3 years experience in K-12 teaching or administration
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in current educational issues and trends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in education or a related field

Position is a full-time, 12-month academic staff appointment.  Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). Special Conditions of Appointment: This position requires a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends, and in-state travel.

Salary Range of $48,000-$53,000; The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State retirement plan. (Total Compensation Estimator).
