Essential Job Functions:

The departments of Academic Technology Services and Adult Degree Programs currently have two vacancies for positions in Instructional Technology support. These positions play a coordinating role in the University's efforts to develop, deliver, and support fully online, web-enhanced online, and technology enhanced face-to-face courses.

These positions include the following responsibilities:

  • Work with faculty and staff to provide pedagogical consultation, instructional design support, software instruction and training, and individual support needed to develop successful and effective courses.
  • Provide administration for the Learning Management System (D2L) for UW-Green Bay campus.
  • Explore, promote, pilot and support new technologies for instruction.
  • Provide direct support of the day-to-day operations of learning technology in the Academic Technology Services department.
  • Support UW-Green Bay's web conferencing solution, Blackboard Collaborate, for the D2L and non-D2L integrations of this tool.
  • Provide group, individual, and online training to faculty, staff, and students.
  • Provide a leadership role in the consultation and production of digital courseware incorporating web-based interactions, including digitalized audio and video.
  • Support of UW System, UW-Green Bay, Outreach and Adult Access, and Learning Management initiatives.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in instructional design, educational technology, or related field at the time of application

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in support of instructional technology
  • Masters degree in instructional design, educational technology, or related field

The successful candidate will have strong oral, written, and organizational skills, the ability to communicate with a diverse population, and the willingness to be part of a collaborative team.

Conditions of Appointment:

Positions are full-time, 12 month, academic staff appointments. Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist (s). Special Conditions of Appointment: These positions require some travel for necessary meetings, workshops, and conferences. Occasional evening and/or weekend work is expected and will be assigned as needed.
Salary:
