| Essential Job Functions: | Will teach primarily classical applied voice, some music theatre applied voice, vocal pedagogy, elementary voice, and diction. Other teaching commensurate with abilities and programmatic needs. |
| Qualifications: | Required: Masters Degree in Music from an accredited institution. Active performer with ability to teach both classical applied voice and music theatre genres, vocal music director of collaborative musical theater productions and/or direction of vocal ensembles, and other areas are required. The successful candidate must demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching, commitment to undergraduate education, and communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues.
Preferred: DMA or significant professional experience and college teaching experience preferred. |
| Starting Date: | August 25, 2008 |
| Conditions of Appointment: | Position is a full-time, nine-month, Academic Staff appointment. The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in a state retirement plan. Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s).
