Essential Job Functions: Manage the day-to-day activities of special Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium (WSGC) programs as defined by the WSGC Director. Communicate and work collaboratively with individuals from a broad range of educational, demographic, economic, and professional backgrounds. Translate the excitement of aerospace and space exploration to students, educators, and the general public. Work under stringent time constraints and deadlines. Seek outside funding for the WSGC and its programs. Assist in successful grant-writing and grant-managing activities.
Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in science, education or related field; proven success in securing funds through grants; a broad understanding through education or professional experience of various fields of science, engineering and technology; and proficient in basic standard office computer software (i.e. word processing, email, calendaring, spreadsheets, internet).

Preferred: Certified teacher license or equivalent experience in K-12 education; experience working with the State of Wisconsin Academic Standards; and managerial experience.
Conditions of Appointment: Position is 50% appointment. Appointment percentage may increase up to 100% with successful grant funding for this position. Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). Employment will require a criminal background check. Salary: Advertised full-time annual salary range of $44,000-$50,000 ($22,000-$25,000 for half-time appointment). The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in a state retirement plan. (Total Compensation Estimator).
