Important Information

 

Employment Status

You do not acquire permanent employment status and therefore are not eligible to transfer to a permanent vacancy. However, you are eligible to apply for permanent vacancies.

employment terminates, contact Human Resources and/or consult the bulletin boards around the campus.

Union Contract: You are not covered by any collective bargaining agreement.

 

Payroll/Compensation

 

Benefits

Most LTE appointments do not include benefits such as participation in a retirement system, health or life insurance or income continuation insurance. Contact Human Resources
for benefits information.

  • Based on LTE classification, night and weekend differential may be available.

  • If you are injured as a result of work related activities, you are covered by worker's compensation. Accidents should be reported immediately to your supervisor no matter how slight and within 24 hours to the Office of Public Safety (IS 1024, ext. 2300). By law, all accidents must be reported. Failure to do so could result in a loss of compensation, payment of medical bills, etc. to you.

  • Vacation & Sick Leave: You are only paid for the hours you work. You do not accumulate sick leave or vacation credits and you are not eligible for legal holiday pay.

  • If you are employed for more than 30 days you will have an email account opened for you and will be granted computer access. Email is used to communicate important information and campus events. Your email account is also used to deliver your earnings statement. Your statement will be delivered to your campus email the day before each pay day. See your supervisor with questions on how to use email, or print the Outlook and Accessing your Earning Statement document.

    Information on matters of other benefits or matters of interest to employees are included in a UW-Green Bay publication called LOG which is distributed throughout the campus via email.
