| Essential Job Functions: | Within the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences, primary instructional responsibilities will be in the undergraduate Mathematics Program. Teaching load of 27 credits will include multiple sections of Intermediate Algebra, Pre-calculus, and Introductory Statistics. If qualified, the candidate will occasionally assume responsibility for one or more of our higher-level courses. The candidate will also be expected to take an active part in program development activities. |
| Qualifications: | Required: The candidate must have a Masters degree (or higher) in Mathematics, Statistics, or in a closely related field. Strong commitment to teaching is expected and evidence of such is encouraged. The successful candidate must have communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to be able to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues. Preferred: Previous teaching experience is desirable. |
| Starting Date: | August 23, 2010 |
| Conditions of Appointment: | Position is a renewable, full-time nine-month appointment. Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s).
