| Essential Job Functions: | The Area Coordinator position assists in carrying out the mission and philosophy of the Office of Residence Life. The Office of Residence Life provides housing for 2,200 students during the academic year and 3,000 guests during the summer. Each Area Coordinator is responsible for overseeing a community of approximately 400 residents. With the help of Resident Assistants, the Area Coordinators strive to develop and maintain a safe, enjoyable, supportive and inclusive living environment where residents can achieve academic success and personal growth and development. The Area Coordinator is a member of the Residence Life team and holds administrative responsibilities, participates in committees and meetings, and serves students in a multitude of ways. The Area Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director.

| Conditions of Appointment: | Position is a full-time academic staff appointment. Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). | Special Conditions of Appointment: | This position requires on-campus residency and compliance with on-campus rules and regulations. Requires a varying schedule and workload over 40 hours per week including on-duty responsibilities (on a rotating basis) during the evenings, weekends and holidays. Occasional training, meetings and programmatic responsibilities on weekends, especially at crucial times of the year should be expected. This position includes occasional travel required for student development, leadership development, and professional responsibilities and development. |
| Salary: | Salary of $32,500; the UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State retirement plan. (Total Compensation Estimator). |
